The 4th GAST Travelling Conference 2013, supported by German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, was held as international meeting of scientists and practitioners from Germany and ASEAN countries Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. In 11 lectures, speakers from Germany, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore reported on latest developments in the field of energy efficient buildings.  In tropical and subtropical countries that mainly concerns cooling of buildings, since most of the energy is required for this purpose, but also other aspects like passive cooling, lightning, mobility in buildings etc.
